29er World Championship – British girls are World Champions

No racing on final day of Zhik 29er World Championship qualifying. Finals begin Wednesday through Friday. Britain’s Mimi El-Khazinder and Emma Loveridge take the ladies title being the only ladies to reach the gold fleet.

For the Final series, of a possible 11 races, a boat’s regatta score will be the total of her qualifying series position, plus her final-series score.

Boats will be assigned to final series fleets Gold, Silver and Bronze, on the basis of their ranks in the qualifying series. The 40 or 50 boats ranked highest in the qualifying series will be assigned to the Gold fleet. The next 40 to 50 boats in the qualifying series will be assigned to the Silver fleet.

The remaining boats will sail in the Bronze fleet. The Bronze fleet will race in two groups of equal size and ability each day.

The list below are the provisional leading qualifiers for the Gold fleet. Althouogh the fleet may be extended to include the leading 50 crews.
