The Beachclub 61′ yacht built by Van der Valk, is one of the most unique designs we have seen in years. It really has a ton of space for a 61′ yacht. Most unique of all is the main salon being on the lower deck at water level.
This allows you to easily access the transom and puts you closet to the water for amazing views. As you can see from the renderings the entire transom is made of glass, as is a large portion of the aft section of the hull, affording you large panoramic views. There are many more unique features like the foredeck seating area and jacuzzi.
In all its a yacht that’s clearly unique and one I look forward to seeing hit the water.
The Van der Valk BeachClu
b line provides an unrivalled amount of exterior and interior space by locating the engine room in the same area as the swimming platform. The 18.60-metre BeachClub 600 is the first in this innovative range of motoryachts and will pioneer the incredible degree of spaciousness on offer.
The Van der Valk BeachClub 600 offers you both an unprecedented feeling of space and much more space in reality. Three outdoor zones optimise the al fresco lifestyle:
An enormous 25 m² foredeck area offers various layout options, including a Jacuzzi.
The 17 m² cockpit deck is an impressive location with an outside steering position.
The 14 m² beach club aft features a smart swimming platform and a sun lounge area.
The interior of the Van der Valk BeachClub 600 is equally impressive and includes:
A lovely forward owner’s suite with all-round views through giant windows. A spacious upper lounge with inside steering positon and an equally panoramic vista. A large lower deck lounge with galley and dining area, plus direct access to the swim platform via curved glass sliding doors.
The BeachClub line will be offered in a range starting from 60 ft (18.6 metres). Construction on the first BeachClub 600 hull – the 60 ft (18,6m) version – will start in December 2016. The all-aluminium BeachClub 600 is driven by a twin Volvo Penta IPS-950 drive train boasting a top speed of approximately 24 knots.
The BeachClub 600 will feature three main outdoor zones to optimise the “al fresco” lifestyle that many Van der Valk owners enjoy:
- An enormous foredeck area spans some 25 square metres and offers various layout options, including fitting a Jacuzzi.
- The 17-square-metre cockpit deck is an impressive location and includes an outside steering position.
- The beach club aft features a smart swimming platform and a sun lounge area within its 14 square metres.
The interior of the BeachClub line also makes the most of the possibilities which this new way of design thinking opens up. The forward owner’s suite is a fabulous place and there are two separate saloons on the yacht. The spacious upper lounge has an inside steering position and panoramic views while the huge lower deck lounge includes a galley and dining area, all with direct access to the swim platform via curved glass sliding doors.
The overall roomy ambience is further enhanced by the liberal use of glass, with all-round views from the two lounges and the master suite. There are also various glass inserts in the hull, giving an additional air of class to an exterior profile which exudes modern elegance.
The first of many
Construction on the first BeachClub 600 hull – a 60ft version – is about to get underway. When the first Van der Valk BeachClub is launched in 2017 she will represent a mini-revolution in motoryachting.
