Day 2 of Garda Trentino Olympic Week had sunny skies and lighter winds on Upper Garda.
For Britain the focus was on the Skud where Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrel (1,1) hold on to their lead, while in the 49erFX Charlotte Dobson and Sophie Ainsworth (6,7,5) slip to third and in the Laser Nick Thompson (3,5) claimed a place to take fourth overall.
Leading in the Radial is Evi Van Acker of Belgium with Hannah Snellgrove (11,10) in seventh. In the Laser Australian Matt Wearn (2,3) keeps the lead with Robert Scheidt of Brazil taking back to back wins to move to third overall.
Italians Bissaro-Sicouri posted three wins in the Nacra17 to take the lead. They have three point lead over New Zealanders Jones-Saunders (2,5,OCS). Eleven points behind in third place are Spaniards Martinez-Lopez, tied with Bekatorou-Trigkonis of Greece.
In the Sonar Bauer-Brietzke-Krauss (3,1) of Germany keep their lead. Britain’s Craig Wood, Liam Cattermole and Steve Palmer (4,4) drop to fourth. In second place are Spaniards Llobet-Alvarez-Gimeno. Third are Italians D’Agaro- Solazzo-Pira.
While Italian Antonio Squizzato increases his lead in the 2.4mR to 7 points after three firsts and a second. Andarias of Spain is second (3-4). Third is Italian Nicola Redavid who repeated his performance of yesterday with a 2-5.
In the men’s RS:X Italian Daniele Benedetti dominates. Fellow national Mattia Camboni is second and Gadorfalvi of Hungary in third place. In the women Meg of France (1,2,2) took over the lead.
Italy’s Kosuta–Farneti (1,2) increased their lead in the men’s 470, 14 points ahead of Russians Sheremetev Mikhail and Maxim (6-3). Mike Wood and Nic Redding (3,12 ) of Britain are in ninth. In the women’s 470, Slovenians Tina Mrak and Veronika Macarol increase their lead over their rivals, Berta-Paolilo (5,3) of Italy.
