International Australian Championship 2018

There was a light ESE for the first race that shifted left just before the start, requiring an AP and re-laying of the course. Short, two windward and returns saw the first boat, Mark “Meaty” Krystic, finish in just under 20 minutes ahead of David Hayter, with Roger Blasse in third.

The second race saw similar conditions. An ENE of maybe up to 10-12 knots, with most crews two-wiring. “Meaty” won again in a longer race in just over 42 minutes – four windward and returns, from Dave Alexander, with Roger Blasse in third. Fleet number at 19.

Lindsay Irwin entered, but had to cancel due to appendix problems. The weather is looking like being much of the same for the next few days. An ESE early shifting left after midday, as a NE sea breeze looks likely. Starts have been rescheduled to 1330 AEDT to hopefully get a breeze in by then. Tuesday is a scheduled lay day.
