Twenty year old Harry Price representing the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia with his crew of Ben Robinson, Cameron Gundy and Murray Jones have won the Nespresso Youth International Match Racing Championships.
Harry Price Wins The Nespresso Youth International Match Racing Championships 2015
Ironically the two had met last November at Price’s home club for the Musto Youth International where the results were reversed with Brasell taking the win and Price second. So in his prizegiving speech Price said he was “pleased to get one back”!
In the Petit Final Sam Mackay representing the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club won the first race by ten seconds over Dylan Wichman. Wichman then found his form and beat Mackay in the next two races to take third place overall in the series.
Coach of the Youth Training Programme, Guy Pilkington, commented, “It was great to see so many familiar faces back again. The standard of racing was exceptional and all the teams are to be commended on their efforts.”
