We are excited to see that the Coasties (United States Coast Guard Academy) are back with two entries this year and the Midshipmen (United States Naval Academy) currently have 5 registered. Over a dozen entries are listed with a First Time skipper so the Event Committee is reviewing sailing resumes and yacht information to assist those new to the race with everything from the handicapping process to berthing in Newport.
Amongst the fleet is a newly restored Running Tide. Read the full press release here about the boat’s triumphant return.
The second installment of our “What to Expect” Seminars – Safety Equipment for Vessel and Crew – will take place on Saturday, March 20th, at 1000 EST. Register here.
