Skipper Norbert Sedlacek set sail for Circumnavigation Record Attempt © Ant Arctic Lab
This is his third attempt to tackle the biggest challenge of his career as a sailor. A trip around the world via the two poles and through the five oceans, an epic journey that he hopes to complete in 165 days to confirm the sustainable and recyclable materials with which he built his innovative 60-footer Open60AAL Innovation Yachts.
On behalf of the entire team, we would like to thank everyone who joined us on the day and for those who missed it, you can follow the time up to the actual departure at sea on the Ant Arctic Lab Facebook page.
The adventure continues online on the www.ant-arctic-lab.com website where you can see Norbert’s progress, updated every four hours.
Ant Arctic Lab world record attempt, is a world’s first and means to sail around the world single-handed, non-stop and without assistance through all five oceans. This includes of course also the Arctic and Antarctic Ocean!
