Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta 2022

Thank you to everybody who responded to my last update indicating they plan to be a starter on the 2022 Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta.

We believe we have enough entrants to run the regatta. So, if you have not put your entry in, please help us out by getting it in quickly and don’t forget to start your fundraising effort.

The Covid situation has caused us to make some changes to the 2022 regatta. First, the traditional Charity Dinner held on the Friday preceding the regatta, has been cancelled. Many people are self-regulating and not attending functions where there are crowds and the number of people who responded indicating they were attending, reflected this. Unfortunate, but we need to adjust to the situation.

Secondly, the pre-regatta BBQ will not be held this year. We want to make sure we do everything possible to make the event Covid safe and minimising gatherings will be a part of that. You will still need to register on the Friday or Saturday morning and shirts will be available for sale – in addition to the 1 free shirt with your entry.

The Heaven Can Wait Charity Sailing Regatta is a great charity fund raising event in support of the Hunter Branch of Cancer Council NSW and their Home Help Program. It has raised $470,000 in the 15 years it has been running and we would like to think that with your support, we can get over the $ half million mark this year.
