This year, the Lady Liberty Regatta will focus on inviting women teams from around the world to “come take a bite out of the Big Apple.”
The regatta will be growing to the next level first by establishing a host committee of top women civic and business leaders. The Host Committee will help steer the event forward in terms of its importance in the harbor and each Host will also adopt one of the participating nations.
Second, the event will reach out to companies active in NY Harbor as well as those in the region which support women’s sports to give them an opportunity to support and grow this event. Third, we will reach out to the Consulates of each participating nation to also see if they know of local national sponsors which would help their team compete. And finally, we are continuing to grow the MYC committee which will handle the regatta logistics in developing and implementing one of the best women’s events in the world.
So if you know women civic or business leaders who might like to join the Host Committee, please let us know. Likewise, if you know of any companies active in the harbor or already supporting women sports, please also send us an email.
