Les Voiles d’Antibes

The first day of the new classic season couldn’t have started better, and Antibes has shown again to be one of the paradise spots of sailing.

The forecast wasn’t good, with storm and some showers, but the Cote d’Azur has shown to have a deal with the weather when needed, and the sea was perfectly kissed by sunshine, light winds and small waves, perfect for sailing. The organisation is still really great!

The big boats showed their hunger for fighting already on the start line, with Moonbeam and the 15M class and Cambria very animated. The race track chosen for the first day is one of the most panoramic on the coast, number 3, from the front of the port to the bay of Juan Les Pin and the channel of Ile St. Marguerite before returning to the far mark and arriving again to the fort.

Some boats like Cambria, Tuiga and Il Moro di Venezia 1 have show a very good performance, but for the last one, the crew is sad because will pay places in the standing due to their rating… but it’s part of the game, pushing the boat and the crew to max performance!
