Settimana delle Bocche © Yacht Club Costa Smeralda
First held in 1972, the Settimana delle Bocche was the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda’s first international competition, marking the start of a journey that consolidated the Club’s standing on the international yachting scene.
The 2027 edition will take place between the Costa Smeralda and the La Maddalena Archipelago, with a programme featuring a long race of around 10 hours on a course of approximately 60-80 miles, alongside a coastal race and up to four windward-leeward races.
The event will get under way on Tuesday 27 April with the practice race, followed by the traditional Skippers’ Briefing. The long race is scheduled for Wednesday 28 April, with the coastal race on Thursday 29 April. Windward-leeward racing will then take place on Friday 30 April and Saturday 1 May, the final day of the event.
Entry is open to boats meeting the requirements set out in the Preliminary Notice of Race, competing in the ORC Super 0, ORC 0, ORC A, ORC B and ORC C classes (within which Corinthian divisions may be created) according to the following criteria:
In line with the Club’s commitment to promoting increasingly inclusive sailing and encouraging the involvement of younger generations, each crew must include at least one female sailor and one other crew member under the age of 25 on 27 April 2027.
Entries for the Settimana delle Bocche will remain open until 31 March 2027. Please complete the entry form here.
The Preliminary Notice of Race, containing full details of entry criteria, registration procedures and the event programme, is available here.
The return of Settimana delle Bocche offers an opportunity to celebrate the YCCS’ sporting tradition and reaffirm the bond between the Club, owners and the international sailing community, in a year marking 60 years of history and passion for sailing.
