All the yachts arrived today in the Marina di Portofino under cloudy skies with seas running and a 15 kn south-easterly. Many of them took advantage to take to the water and train and finish the final preparations for tomorrow’s races.
The organisers have arranged live TV coverage which will be available in streaming on the digital platforms of the YCI:
Every morning Primocanale, the main private TV channel in Liguria will transmit the races from 11 AM. Commenting on the highlights in the studio, besides journalist Matteo Cantile, there will also be Roberto Ferrarese, one of the Sky commentators during live coverage of the recent America’s Cup, an eclectic yachtsmen who, among other things, took part in two Olympics (Moscow and London) and an America’s Cup campaign.
Here is the definitive entry list of the yachts entered built by the yards involved – Wally, Southern Wind Shipyard, Nautor’s Swan and Mylius – and the yachts belonging to the International Maxi Association and those of YCI members.
Every day it will be possible to see live coverage of the highlights of the races on the YouTube channel of the Yacht Club Italiano, and online tracking is available at this link.
To guarantee the safety of all participants in the town hosting the races, all measures for the tracing and containment of Covid 19 have been adopted with a protocol that includes an obligatory tampon for everyone, available every day at the health centre organised on the second floor of the Portofino’s Teatrino. The official tenders of the Regate di Primavera – Splendido Mare Cup are the two iconic models of the Wallytender line: 43wallytender and 48wallytender.
These boats are provided by Wally as shuttles for guests of the organisers and sponsors, offering an unique experience of sailing and life on board.
