The morning started well with everyone involved in the event completing their mandatory Covid test ahead of the outdoor skipper’s briefing. Principal Race Officer Benoit Deutsch ran through the weather files that hardly promised good racing conditions.
As the rain persisted into the afternoon, the decision was made by Class Manager Bertrand Favre to call it a day: “Today was forecast to be strange, but no one thought it would be non-existent. There have been little puffs that got us hopeful, but in the end, it disappeared.”
Tomorrow, race management aims to get the boats on the water at 11:30CET in the hope that the wind will be there this time.
