Winners being Xanthus (X-55) on ORC and Adela X (X-50) on PHS.
Saturday, 21 June, was another cracker day and after the Skippers Briefing and Crew Breakfast at Middle Harbour Yacht Club, the fleet headed out for the Club Marine Race One and Musto Race Two.
While conditions were fluky and testing, Toy Box 2 (Xp 44) won both races on ORC and PHS and collected handfuls of prizes and a lot of accolades.
The winner of the Aurum Cup was XS Moment (Xp 44), skippered by Ray Hudson, who had just returned from Denmark where he competed in the X-Yacht Gold Cup. Ray collected a week’s charter of an X-Yacht in the Greek Islands donated by X-Yachting of Greece.
The event finished with a superb dinner at St Siandra, MHYC.
Kevin Wallis, Australia & New Zealand Managing Director for X-Yachts, commented that “The Regatta is now an annual event that brings together our X-Yacht community for fun, camaraderie and a little competition.”
