Svalbard is known for its rugged, remote terrain, frozen tundra sheltering polar bears, Svalbard reindeer and Arctic foxes, and glaciers. Summer brings the “midnight sun”, sunlight 24 hours a day, while the winter features spectacular displays of Northern Lights.
