Bartercard Sail Paradise Regatta early-bird registration close with more than 42 boats registered

The Southport Yacht Club now has more than 42 boats registered, by those who take advantage of the early bird entry fee. These numbers are predicted to rise steadily over the next two months, as border restrictions ease across the eastern states.

2021 marks the Southport Yacht Clubs 75th birthday with celebrations starting on the 4th January when the Bartercard Sail Paradise Regatta kicks off.

The premier event, celebrated over the summer school holidays, brings an added option for sailors to combine the series with the ultimate Gold Coast family holiday.

Many sailors take the opportunity to bring their families to the Gold Coast and combine the Regatta with fun-filled Gold Coast family attractions.

The Southport Yacht Club has an option to either camp nearby for $20 a night, or to take advantage of the FREE berthing for registered participants from the 3rd – 8th January.

With less than 2 months left to enter, the Club’s goal is to have 75 boats registered for their 75th birthday celebrations. A plan that looks like they are close to achieving.
